So I now run 4.5km 2 or more times a week - and I have cut around 8 mins off this run since I started a couple of weeks ago. I am still slow ... what I call "real" runners burn past me - but I do pass walkers so that is a good start! I am really loving it ... once I get into the zone it is a really relaxing experience (until the last 1/2 km or so when the muscle burn really sets in). 5km was my goal for this year, but I think I will have to reassess that to 10km run by the end of the year.
I am struggling a bit weight wise at the moment - I have had a small gain. I obviously need to be really focusing more on what I am eating as the exercise is NOT a problem!
