So back when I started this blog I use to blog a lot about what was generally going on in my life. Over time, as I got more and more involved in scrapbooking, it changed into a blog focused on scrapbooking. I thought I would give a little bit of an update about what's been going on in my life (if you are solely here for scrapping, this might be where you leave - lol!).
In April we went to Europe - London, Paris and Rome. It was a wonderful holiday where we got to celebrate my little sister's wedding and Gary and I got some romantic couple time (thanks Mum and Dad!). Before we left I got myself a new camera - a Nikon D800. It is amazing - I love it to bits and it performed A+++ during the trip. I am in the process of plowing through hundreds of photos at the moment and will be working on a project for Aussie Scrap Source with them this weekend.
Benson is now in grade 2 and having just had a parent teacher interview, I am happy to say that he is doing really well across the board. He is also achieving really well in swimming at the moment. His Coeliacs is 100% under control and he is growing like a weed.
We had some photos taken with Janine Kaye before she left to move to Perth (sob) and I loved them (as always) ...
Gary and I both are continuing to eat well and exercise hard. I passed my 50kg goal and was heading down even further until the trip to Europe slowed things a bit. A little heath issue since coming back saw me regain a couple of kgs, but I am hovering around the 50kgs lost at the moment and now working towards 60kgs loss, which is my next goal.
I am still scrapbooking up a storm - though mainly DT and magazine work. I am off to a retreat this weekend, so you just never know what I might get up to while I am away!
I thought I would share a couple of recent layouts that I have done for Bella Blvd today. I absolutely love Bella Blvd products - the colours, designs and embellishments are all so fun!
This layout was done as part of a sketch challenge. I have never done a layout with hexagons before and I loved it.
How cute is the chipboard bunny on the next layout? It was an easter embellishment, but was just perfect for a layout on bunny chasing at our local park ... lots of wild bunnies running around everywhere. Luckily they are always MUCH faster than Benson!
I met a lot of lovely people at the Scrapbooking Convention in Brisbane over the long weekend and so many of them asked me when I was going to update my blog. I thought everyone had stopped checking since it had been SO long since I updated, but apparently not! I promised that I would do an update, and I am going to try and be more diligent about continuing to do so.
Hello to all of the lovely ladies that I met in Brisbane, and thanks to everyone that did my classes. If anyone is interested, I have a few kits left from my classes. They each have at least $50 retail value of content and full instructions for 2 layouts in them. There is enough in the kits to do at least 2 more layouts. Kits are $45 including postage. If you are attending the Long Point scrap retreat, I can bring them along with me to save you postage and they will be $40. Here is a photo of the main layout from each kit:
Indigo Bleu kit
Victoria Park kit:
Please just pop me an email if you are interested in either (or both) of the kits. First in best dressed!
Kimber is celebrating a milestone birthday today (shhhh .... the big 40) and I am so excited to be able to celebrate in a small way by participating in this blog hop!
So a big happy birthday from me Kimber and I hope you have a wonderful day celebrating with family and friends.
From here you can head to Mel Blackburn's blog! Have fun following this blog hop just for you Kimber (and anyone else that wants to see a great range of inspirational cards - you should follow along too!!)
Pink Paislee is releasing sneaks of its new releases over on the blog at the moment. There are lots of giveaways going on too. The new releases are divine, so I recommend that you get on over there and check them out!
