How lucky am I?

I am just so lucky ... I was the proud owner of a pandora bracelet ... now I am the proud owner of two pandora bracelets and lots more charms  :o)

Gary gave me charms, Lou Lou gave me a charm, Mum and Dad bought me a charm and Janine and Cass bought me a glass bead.   WOW!

My bracelets are so beautiful - I will take some photos and post them ... i promise.

Today I was lucky enough to have lunch with Cass, Janine, Rachael and Lisa and I was treated to  gifts, flowers, cake and lunch.  So Lucky!  I had such a wonderful time (and it was even healthy ... except for the cake!).

I was also lucky enough to learn about defragging my computer and so I am in the process of doing that - trying to improve the performance of my overloaded baby.

35 today!

Been in Sydney today for work and feeling really tired, so this one is going to be short ... just a layout of me as a girl with my baby brother (an older layout but sorry nothing new tonight) - can't be bothered trying to get a photo of me today.

What have we been up to?

Well on Friday Benson and I went on a trip to the Sydney Aquarium with Jennie and Chelsea.  Great fun was had by all and the kids were knackered by the end (I think Jennie and I were to!)

Friday night I went to a crop at Addicted 2 Scrappin'.  I had a great night, I had been feeling pretty good all day which is why I decided to go.  I got 4 layouts done (just some journalling and final touches to go) and I will share them soon.  But Saturday morning I felt like crap again - so in hindsight it was probably not the best decision.  However, not to let a bit of illness get in the way, I worked in the garden all Saturday morning.  I had hired a skip and it had to be filled.  I had assistance from my little helper Benson.

Linda ended up coming to visit some what unexpectedly on Saturday, so when Benson got up from his sleep we did a bit of chalk drawing.  It was great to spend some relaxing time with her.

Saturday night was the cyber crop at KSK.  I was in and out through the night cause I had to do some big sister hanging out with Lou Lou.  It sounds like everyone had a great time!

I set a challenge, which was to use a photo that was at least 10 years old and include journalling.  This was my sample layout:

Then today we headed off to the Seacliff Bridge - did the walk and then went and had lunch at the Tin Shed Cafe.  When we got home, Benson went down for a sleep (read - crashed cause of all the walking he had done!) and Lou Lou took me out to buy me a bead for my Pandora braclet for my birthday - lucky me.

All in all a busy few days ...

Today is my last day as a 34 year old!  Where has this year gone?  I will officially be in my mid thirties - I ask, when did I get so old?

I am off to Sydney for work tomorrow - so an early start and a long day.

Christmas in July

When I lived in Orange we use to do the whole Christmas in July thing (of course, there it was freezing cold and would snow!!).  Haven't done anything for Christmas in July this year, so I thought I would post a Christmas Layout ...

Cybercrop at KSK

Some people have asked me what the prize for winning the EDM competition was - it was $1,000 worth of very nice scrapbooking products from Aussie Scrap Source!  One day this big box of goodies turned up - it was like Christmas had come early!!

A WOOHOO!!! announcement

A scrapbooking tip

I have been working on an off the page project tonight and I have a tip to share ...  do not try to use rubons on a flexible rubber surface.  It does not work, even if you scratch the first attempt off, clean the surface throughly and try again.  IT DOES NOT WORK.

So there you go.  Scrap that idea after much agro and wasted rubons and go to plan B.  Never let the fact that there wasn't a plan B originally daunt you in your task!

I have now finished and so I am off to bed.

My funny boy

I just wanted to get down a couple of the funny things Benson has been saying / doing lately:

A conversation between Gary and Benson about dolphins:

B:  Dolphins
G:  Where do they live?
B:  In the water
G:  What do they eat in the water?
B:  Sharks
G:  Anything else?
B:  Whales
G:  Oh, anything else?
B:  People
G:  I don't think dolphins eat people, I think they eat fish
B:  Fish (expressed with some doubt)

The ritual upon waking up in the morning and after his afternoon nap:

I tell him to put his blue bear and dummy back in bed.  He walks over to the bed, gives blue bear a cuddle and a kiss and puts him in bed.  He then takes out his dummy, gives it a cuddle and a kiss and puts it in bed.  This is a boy truely in love with his blue bear and dummy!

For Keeps

Was over having a look at the For Keeps website and one of my layouts is there, Introducing Mr Fish!  Poor Mr Fish went onto a better life soon after scrapping that page - pays to get in quick with goldfish.  Mr Fish has been suceeded by Dory and Nemo (Benson's current favourite fish).  They have survived for weeks now - I am very impressed - particularly given the care they receive (blush)
